Visiting a new church can be intimidating…

… especially if you’re uncertain about what to expect.
When you come to SPEP, you can expect to be welcomed by people who are genuinely glad to see you.

Below you’ll find more information so that your visit with us can be enjoyable and free of stress.

Sunday Worship Time: 9:30am – In person and live-streamed on our website. 

Our Worship Service is about an hour and 15 minutes and is comprised of worship that is enthusiastic & contemplative—including music (singing), light liturgy (readings), and teaching from the Bible. Dress is casual, but you can dress-up if you like. We are located at 110 Ritchie Hwy in Pasadena, MD.

Parking: As you enter our Church property from Ritchie Highway, proceed straight back to our Worship Center. You can park on either side (left or right) as we have Main Entrances on both sides of the facility. The parking lot on the Left side is a little larger and has a Playground, should your family like to gather there afterward.

Children’s Chapel: Children ages 5-9 are invited to attend during the sermon. They’ll hear the same sermon presented in a way designed for young children, sing, and do crafts before returning to join you for the closing song. To attend, have your child meet the Children’s Chapel leaders in the Foyer when invited to do so at the start of the sermon.

Discipleship Hour: 11:15am – Following the Service, join us for coffee and fellowship, followed by opportunities to learn more about the Lord. We have classes for all ages – Children, Teens, and Adults.

Childcare

Nursery is available on Sunday Mornings, and our nursery team will greet you at check-in. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment for infants through 4-year-olds: 
Worship Service 9:15 -10:45: newborn to age 4. 
Sunday School Hour 11:15 -12:15: newborn to age 2 (Sunday School classes available for ages 2 – adults).

Children ages pre-k and older are encouraged to worship with their parents. We provide a children’s bulletin to help them engage during worship as well as a pew pack which contains a more detailed worship guide, crayons, pencil and more.  Please ask a member of our welcome team to assist you in finding these resources.
 
Family Room: We offer a family room in WC-B, also available off the back right of the sanctuary. available during the service for children and their caregivers. The service is broadcast on a TV, activity bins and rocking chairs are available, as well as space to move around.
 
Sunday School: We offer classes for children ages 2-5th grade, from 11:15-12:15, and Nursery during the SS hour for children under 2 years of age. Please check in at the back of Fellowship Hall outside of Room 5 in the Education Center for assistance. For more information email [email protected].
 

Youth Ministry

Visit our webpage for additional information and events for our Middle and High School students. There are Sunday School classes after the Worship Service, at 11:15am. These classes meet in our Ministry Center, which is the smaller building that you will pass on the left as you proceed back to our Worship Center. Check-in at our Welcome Table in the Church Foyer for the latest list of opportunities.
