About Us - Students

The Student Ministry at Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church, PCA serves 6th -12th grades. We partner with parents and families in raising the next generation for a lifetime of knowing God, growing in grace, experiencing His love, and following Jesus Christ in His mission.

At SPEP, relationships and disciple-making are the driving force behind our ministry to students. In our friendships with one another, we imitate the pattern put forth by God Himself who initiates, influences, and instructs the lives of His people. SPEP Student Ministry seeks to create a space where messy sinners can feel safe to live courageously in a loving community. As a ministry of a church, our student ministry affirms and partners in pursuing the mission, vision, and values of Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

SPEP Mission

To discover in Christ the greatness of God, and share those discoveries with others.

SPEP Vision

A church where Jesus mends broken lives with the goodness of God, and equips us to join Him in His work.

SPEP Values

  • Firm to biblical standards, flexible in ministry style
  • Confident that Jesus is at work
  • Humbly transparent, with respect and compassion for others
  • Delighted in God
  • Passionate for spiritual growth and ministry skill
  • Committed to be a part of what Christ is doing in the church and in the world

We believe our youth are a gift from God and an important part of our church body. We desire that they will be integrated as disciples – growing in discernment and maturity – into the larger family of God. To that end, we want to equip and encourage SPEP youth by providing opportunities to serve others, to study God’s Word, and to encourage each other. SPEP Student Ministry has an active schedule of events for both Middle School and High School students including weekly Bible Studies, service opportunities and fun times together.
